It was announced on Friday that the Osaka performances of the Butai Sengoku Basara 3 Utage stage play, which have long been sold out, have had a number of extra standing-only tickets added for each show to accommodate more fans. In the meantime the show has moved on to its third venue, this time in Tokyo. The gaming press has at last begun publishing some reports and photographs which give a taste of the action that the audience has been enjoying; you can see them at 4Gamer.net, Dengeki and Famitsu.
It looks amazing! I don't suppose that the DVD preorder period will begin online until the show completely finishes its run, but I can't wait. It's great that the stage play includes more characters for a performance which is a couple of hours long than Sengoku Basara -Moonlight Party- had in its entire series.
A personal blog which documents a UK-based Sengoku Basara freak's ongoing quest to become even more immersed in anime, manga and games.

It does look impressive! Never thought that Basara would suit as a stageplay, but I'm glad to be proven wrong. So many characters, and lots of "Oh shit!" moments in those photos. It makes me really curious and anxious of what's going to happen in the play. I might end up ordering this and possibly the other one you reviewed and liked recently - never thought I'd import some dvd's of a japanese stageplay based on a videogame lol, damn this blog ;)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it was fun to read about your visit to the Capcom bar. What a place! It must be weird/fun to work there and earn your money by shouting hadouken! at customers.
Hehe, sorry. I'm happy that my little blog helped :D
DeleteI think everyone at the Capcom bar must really love gaming, they were all extremely enthusiastic. I want to go back there again one day...
