Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How many playable characters are there in the game?
A. There are 40 playable characters this time. Sen No Rikyuu is brand new while Ashikaga Yoshiteru and Kyougoku Maria are playable for the first time. Takeda Shingen, Uesugi Kenshin, Kasuga, Maeda Toshiie and Matsu will be joining the 32 playable characters from Sengoku Basara 4 to bring the total to 40.
Q. Will the five returning characters (Shingen, Kenshin, Kasuga, Toshiie and Matsu) have full move lists this time?
A. Yes! They have each gained two new R2 specials. The full details are on my blog and in the character section at the bottom of this guide.
Q. Will the game be released in English?
A. Probably not. At this time, nothing has been mentioned about releasing the game outside Asia.
Q. Whatever happened to Houjou Ujimasa?
A. No idea. He's mentioned in the Sengoku Basara 4 stories but he's missing from the actual game. I hope he shows up again soon.
Q. Will Nouhime/Ranmaru/Itsuki/Yoshimoto/Kennyo/Xavi be playable in Sumeragi?
A. No. Sorry :(
Q. How about Musashi?
A. He's not playable, but he appears as one of the enemies in the new Battle Roulette system.
Q. Is 'The Invincible' Naoe Kanetsugu playable?
A. Partially - he's one of the transformations in Battle Roulette.
Q. What happened to the five regional warlords from Sengoku Basara 3?
A. They're taking a break from the series and probably won't be included in the game. There's one exception so far: Amago Haruhisa appears as the mysterious warrior 'Poem Amago' in the new Battle Roulette system.
Q. Will returning characters receive new moves?
A. It's possible to unlock a new 'skill revision' move for each character through the Battle Roulette prizes. Some older moves will also be adjusted right from the start; for example, Masamune's HELL DRAGON is now usable in midair.
Q. How do I unlock the harder difficulties?
A. Beat story mode once on the highest difficulty you can to unlock the next difficulty level. The maximum difficulty level is called 'Heaven' (天).
Q. Are you going to translate all of the interface screens again?
A. Only the ones which are different to the previous game. Most screens we've seen so far are identical except the font has changed slightly, so the previous guide will still work. If you get stuck just send me a picture of the screen and I'll post a translated version.
Q. What does 'Sumeragi' mean?
A. It's an eloquent way of saying 'Emperor' and it refers to the fact that Yoshiteru is the main character this time. The kanji they chose is usually pronounced ou but they specifically chose the reading sumeragi to make it feel 'more Japanese'.
Q. What's the deal with the secret path on Motochika's Sengoku Basara 4 stage? It's driving me crazy!
A. I have lost track of the number of times people have asked this! You have to run straight to the door and skip all of the enemies because it locks 30 seconds after the start. More details here.
Q. I need help with understanding the trials in the new Naotora Women's Dojo stage.
A. This post has the translations for all of Naotora's trials. Good luck!
Q. I don't understand what the bar is for on the new Itsukushima Sanbee Occupation stage.
A. Please check this post for information about this stage.
Q. What's going on in Sakon's new Sawayama Castle: Chouhan Defense stage?
A. I posted a translation of the gambling challenge here so check it out.
Q. I don't understand what to do on Mogami Yoshiaki's Oushuu: Ushuu Annexation stage.
A. Please check this post for an explanation of Yoshiaki's new stage.
Q. I have another question about triggering a specific stage or stage objective from Sengoku Basara 4 that wasn't mentioned in your guide.
A. It's probably answered in this post (or the comments). I'll review the Sumeragi strategy guide once it's been released and add information about the new stages and mechanics here.
Q. Why do some parts of this guide have a message that the information is coming soon?
A. I can't translate material which I don't have yet. Things like trophy descriptions aren't usually released until the game is out.
Q. What's the difference between the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game?
A. The PlayStation 4 version will run in 1080p at 60fps, and sharing video and screenshots will be possible when playing. It will be compatible with Share Play and PS Vita Remote Play. The PlayStation 3 version drops to 30fps in 2 player games and has less graphical detail. SPARDA-990 posted a sample comparison shot here. Other than the anticipated visual and performance improvements, both versions of the game should be identical in terms of features.
Q. I missed the five preorder weapons, is there another way to get them after the game is released?
A. At this time, no. There are no plans to make them available as paid DLC. You can try looking for an unopened first press copy of the Asian (non-Japanese) version of the game as that came with the DLC codes in the pack, but there will be a deadline to activate the codes so don't delay!
Q. Is there any other way to get the element-changing weapons for Sakon, Katsuie and Maria which came bundled with Japanese magazines?
A. At this time, no. They're being described as magazine-exclusives. You can import the magazines (or buy them as ebooks) and redeem the codes that way if you want to guarantee that you will receive the weapons.
Q. What's the difference between the Asian and Japanese versions of the game?
A. They are probably completely identical aside from the packaging and any bonus DLC codes; Asian codes won't work on Japanese PSN. However, you can usually activate your codes on the Hong Kong PSN store then switch to an account from another region without losing access to your DLC costumes on PS3. The DLC weapons and consumable boosts from the PlayStation Store are locked to the account which downloaded them so please be careful. Please note that the Asian version of the game will still be in Japanese; there's no English or Chinese edition at this time. It's very likely to be the exact same disc as the Japanese edition.
Q. Can I use your translations in my own guide, blog, fan project or anything else?
A. Sure. I prefer it if a link to my guide is included as a reference so people know where to check for corrections and updates, but aside from that you can do whatever you want with the information here. If you make something useful for the community please let me know and I'll add it to the Links section.
Q. Something in your guide is wrong!
A. Oops, please let me know so I can fix it. I often translate late at night so errors inevitably happen.
Q. Can you translate something specific for me?
A. I work long hours but if you have a recording or screenshot showing the thing you want translated (and it's not very long), I can give it a try when I have time. If it's something simple like an in-game menu I'll add it to the guide so everyone can benefit. I won't do full scripts but check the Links section in case another fan is already working on it.
Q. Why do you spell some of the characters' names differently to the spellings used in Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes?
A. Personal preference. It's easier for me to be consistent if I use the spellings I'm more used to. If you want to use Hanbei/Hanbe/Hanbey that's fine; I just happen to use Hanbee. I spell some other words strangely because I'm not from the US.
Buying The Game
There are several editions of Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi available for purchase; the standard version and the Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi 21 Costume Hobby Box which includes download codes for all 21 tie-in DLC costumes and a small 24-page paperback artbook. Both versions of the game are available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 so there's a total of four different listings - be careful to purchase the right one!
Note: The game is also available on the Japanese PSN. Read this post for the full details.
Firstly, the following import stores promised to be able to provide the Sumeragi ID code you need to register for the 'early reservation' bonuses so long as the order was placed before the deadline:
Standard edition (PS4): HMV, Musetto via Rakuten, NCSX, Nippon Yasan
Standard edition (PS3): HMV, Musetto via Rakuten, NCSX
21 Costume Hobby Box edition (PS4): HMV, Nippon Yasan
21 Costume Hobby Box edition (PS3): HMV
Here's a list of import-friendly online stores which are offering the game without the 'early reservation' bonuses.

21 Costume Hobby Box edition (PS3) ¥10,990: AmiAmi, Play-Asia, Yesasia Global, Yesasia USA
Another option is the Asian edition of the game. This is slightly cheaper since it's aimed at regions outside Japan, and first press copies will include a code to redeem the 'early reservation' weapons on an Asian PSN account.
Standard edition (PS4): Play-Asia, Yesasia Global, Yesasia USA
Standard edition (PS3): Play-Asia, Yesasia Global, Yesasia USA
The following Japan-only stores offered all of the early reservation bonuses and fans outside Japan can purchase from them using a proxy service.

Lastly, there's the Japan-only official Capcom store, e-Capcom, which is offering special bundles of the game with a choice of 41 'approximately life-sized' towels. No matter which version of the game you choose, if you register your Sumeragi ID before the deadline you will qualify for all five bonus DLC weapons and two bonus wallpapers. The store-specific wallpaper for e-Capcom is Welcome To The Wabi-Sabi Tea Party. A few importers have confirmed they'll be able to obtain these bundles too so I've added their links.
Standard edition (PS4) - limited edition with towel: e-Capcom, NCSX
Standard edition (PS3) - limited edition with towel: e-Capcom
21 Costume Hobby Box edition (PS4) - complete edition with towel: e-Capcom, NCSX, Nin-Nin Game
21 Costume Hobby Box edition (PS3) - complete edition with towel: e-Capcom, Nin-Nin Game
Note: There are individual listings for all 41 different versions of the complete and limited editions (the towel bundles). Please visit the main category page and find the towel bundle you want in the gallery that way.
There's a full list of Japanese retailers participating in the Sumeragi ID scheme on the official website.
Preorder Bonuses
Preordering the game early from a participating store will give you a code called a 'Sumeragi ID' which lets you unlock special in-game weapons which can change a character's usual elemental effect into something else.
There are currently no plans to make the preorder weapons available later as DLC.
The first four exclusive weapons are known as as early reservation bonuses. They come in a set as follows:
- Date Masamune's Hyouryuu ('Ice Dragon') changes his element to ice.
- Sanada Yukimura's Koukosou ('Light Tiger Claws') changes his element to light.
- Ishida Mitsunari's Seitou Tomurai ('Sacred Sword: Mourning') changes his element to kan ('feeling') like Sen No Rikyuu.
- Tokugawa Ieyasu's Mikawadanuki ('Mikawa Tanuki') changes his element to wind.
To qualify for these, you had to preorder the game from a participating store before 24th May 2015. The shop you ordered from would then send you a unique 'Sumeragi ID' code which had to be registered online before 23:59 (Japan time) on 7th June 2015.
Full step-by-step instructions for registering the Sumeragi ID can be found here.
The other bonus weapon is Rinne Genkou ('Light Of Death And Rebirth') which changes Ashikaga Yoshiteru's element to light. The code to unlock this weapon will be distributed as a first press bonus in a limited number of copies of the game. The PlayStation 4 version of the game will have the code on a sheet inside the box, while the PlayStation 3 version is printed inside the pack.
If you qualified for the early reservation rewards above, you will need to use your Sumeragi ID to register this code online to prove you did not cancel your preorder.
You can tell whether the code for Yoshiteru's weapon is inside the box by looking for the first press sticker on the front of the packaging as shown in the picture below.
An store-specific wallpaper for PCs and smartphones will be offered if you place your order early enough to qualify for Yoshiteru's weapon, depending on which shop you use for your preorder. The options are pictured (descriptions below):
Comic SUMERAGI comes from Amazon Japan.
Azure-Crimson Duel Ink Painting Illustration is from GEO.
Piko Piko Masamune-kun ~Setouchi Monogatari~ (the one which looks like a classic handheld game) is from Game TSUTAYA.
Basara Girls Seven is from Furuhon Ichiba.
Welcome To The Wabi-Sabi Tea Party is from all other shops participating in the campaign.
Finally, people who registered their Sumeragi ID before the deadline also receive a special registration complete wallpaper showing Yoshiteru fighting Masamune (i.e. the box artwork, except Masamune is wearing his DLC costume). Even if you miss the early reservation deadline and can't obtain the weapons or store-specific bonus wallpaper, you can register your Sumeragi ID online up until 23:59 on 22nd July 2015 and still receive the registration complete wallpaper as a reward.
In short, first you preorder at a participating store (deadline: 24th May), then you register your Sumeragi ID online (deadline: 7th June), then after the game is released you claim the prizes online by re-entering your Sumeragi ID (deadline: 31st August).
Once you've received all of your product codes, the in-game items can be redeemed by entering them in the Japanese PlayStation Store as usual. Registering for a Japanese PSN account is completely free, and on the PS3 Japanese DLC can be used on a non-Japanese account so long as you've already downloaded it to your system. However, early reports indicate that you can only use DLC weapons from the same zone as your save (costumes are not affected). It might be best to start over with a Japanese account if you want that DLC.
The Asian edition of the game will also include the weapon DLC codes as a first press bonus. Since the 'early reservation' deadline has passed this might be the best option for fans who have yet to place their order.
The only physical store-exclusive bonuses are e-Capcom's towel bundles.
If you preordered on PSN, you'll receive Yoshiteru's weapon and a bundle of weapons with powerful inscriptions as a bonus. There's no way to get the four 'early reservation' weapons if you buy through PSN.
New Features
This section is for the miscellaneous gameplay changes which have been revealed so far.
- Tag mode will be available from the start this time.
- Weapon parameters can be increased to 3,000 for each stat by affixing a special new inscription.
- The level cap will be increased to 999. The experience needed to level up has been adjusted, and you can choose to boost a character either 1 or 10 levels on the levelling screen.
- Fan OneSanitarium has done some experimenting with the figures.
- A new difficulty level has been added. 'Heaven' (天) difficulty will have more aggressive enemies with higher stats - with higher attack power, rather than having more health. Bosses can use their Basara moves, healing items appear less frequently and regular foot soldiers look visibly different to usual. The difficulty level is displayed after you choose your character, with the easiest level at the top and the hardest at the bottom.
- It's now possible to store 40 weapons for each character.
- You can use your stored Fortune Hammers on the reward screen before playing a stage to shuffle the rewards. Simply press Square to use a hammer - but be careful, as you can make the prizes worse if your luck is bad.
- There's a new mechanic called Battle Roulette which can be toggled from the stage select screen. Please see the dedicated section later in this guide for more details.
- There's a new type of green box called a Revolution chest which can affect the result of Battle Roulette.
- Every character will have access to one additional move called a 'skill revision' which can be unlocked through the Tenka Medal shop. The default command for the skill revision is L1 + Square.
- Many characters can now use their moves in the air. Confirmed aerial moves are Shikanosuke's Megurimawaru Seishun, Oichi's Kizameku No Kizu, Masamune's HELL DRAGON, Keiji's Oshi No Itte, Hisahide's Shouka, Motochika's Shibaku, Motonari's Hajikite: Heki and Tsuruhime's Nayuta Issen.
- Save data from Sengoku Basara 4 can be imported into Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi (the details are here and a translated walkthrough can be found here).
Most of the menus are identical to those in Sengoku Basara 4 with some cosmetic changes. Play Books are all combined in one window now (accessed with R1 on the march screen) and L1 is used for the Tenka Medal shop.
The new mode select screen looks like this. Please note that my screenshot may be incomplete; the full list of modes has not been formally confirmed.
Once you enter one of the two game modes, you'll see the character selection screen as follows.
If you're playing in the main Sengoku Creation: Extreme mode, the first prompt which will appear upon selecting your character is this one.
If you want to pick your route, it's just a simple menu. As with Sengoku Basara 4, you can't pick the Creation route with this option, only the Drama/Anime routes.
You'll then be asked to pick your difficulty. There are five difficulty levels in the game and they're arranged with the easiest one at the top of the list. You need to clear the story once on the hardest difficulties to unlock the harder ones. The final difficulty level is called Heaven (天).
One other undocumented new feature is that Fortune Hammers can now be used on the reward screen before you play a stage. Doing this refreshes all of the rewards, either making them significantly better or poor depending on your luck. You can see the number of Fortune Hammers you have left along with the command (Square) in the top right of the reward screen.
There's also an option in the game's settings to have the camera dynamically focus on your moves. You can set it to 'off' to have the camera stay in its usual position. I've called it 'move-based camera' in the picture below.
The controller settings have also been tidied up a little in the new interface. I've annotated screenshots of both settings screens to show exactly what you can adjust.
Please send me a screenshot or photograph if there are any other menus which need translating.
Stories
There will be 32 new stories included in the game as well as all of the stories from Sengoku Basara 4 (listed in the previous guide) for a total of 89 individual stories. I've listed the confirmed new stories for each character in the profiles section below.
Elements
There are two new elements this time to accompany the usual fire, ice, thunder, wind, light and darkness. Rikyuu's element is called 'feeling' while Yoshiteru's element is 'quake'.
Kan 'feeling': When this element is triggered, soldiers will either become sluggish and lose their will to attack or they'll start attacking both allies and enemies indiscriminately.
Shin 'quake': This element includes effects such as being able to split the earth for short range attacks, and causing the ground to shake to affect a wide area.
In addition, Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi will be the first game in the series where you can equip weapons which alter a character's usual element. Five of these special weapons will be allocated as exclusive preorder bonuses while another three are available through DLC codes bundled with various gaming magazines.
Battle Roulette
There's a new optional system called Battle Roulette. When you attack a 'roulette camp' or 'roulette soldier', a large roulette wheel appears at the top of the screen. There are four possible outcomes when the wheel stops spinning.

- Red (Tenka): Tenka Medals appear, sometimes accompanied by Medal Soldiers. If 'Poem Amago' (Amago Haruhisa) appears instead, hit him when he pops up out of the ground to receive more Tenka Medals. A pink icon with a picture of his face will show his current location.

- Hold Square: Frontal Kick
- Triangle: Slashing Rise
- Direction + Triangle: Diving Slash
- L1 + Triangle: Rear Downwards Slash
- R1: Horizontal Slash

- Akatsukimaru (Rising Sun) is Motochika's huge 'warship'.

- Bomb Soldier can use coloured bombs at random (red summons pillars of fire, gold produces large explosions).
- Square: Set Bomb
- Hold Square: Bury Bomb
- Triangle: Throw Bomb
- R1: Spinning Bomb Spray
- L1: Guard
- Naoe Kanetsugu can kill enemies in one hit, but he disappears when he takes damage.
- Skull (Punishment From Heaven): Something dangerous happens, such as bombs falling from the sky, an intrusion from Miyamoto Musashi or Xavist angels stunning the player.
Green 'Revolution' chests can appear on the battlefield when Battle Roulette is switched on. These increase the chance of a particular result the next time you trigger the roulette.
The message which appears after opening a Revolution chest is in Japanese, so you'll need to learn the Japanese words for each roulette outcome if you want to understand it. It will look like the example below (in the picture, you can see 'Transform' is highlighted in the middle of the message).
You can see whether Battle Roulette is available on the stage selection screen as shown below and it can be toggled on/off with R2 in some modes. Check the Tenka Medals part of this guide below for a list of rewards.
Tenka Medals
Tenka Medals are an in-game currency earned from the Battle Roulette system. The name is a pun; it's written 'Heavenly Coin Medals' but pronounced the same as 'Seize-The-Nation Medals'. You can exchange your medals for 167 different rewards.
The reward categories are Costume (purple), Weapon (orange), Technique (blue) and Speech (yellow). Each character has a new 'skill revision' move which can be activated with L1 + Square after it has been purchased. I've listed the known skill revisions in the character profiles at the bottom of this guide. All forty characters will each have at least one extra costume to unlock through the Tenka Medal reward system.
The Tenka Medal shop is accessed by pressing L1 on the stage selection screen.
The way that the personal and limit-breaking inscriptions work is that you purchase them through the Tenka Medal reward shop. Each comes pre-attached to a low level weapon - in Yoshihiro's case, his personal inscription has been shown attached to Kahou: Raijinken which is traditionally his second weapon.
It's easy to spot which inscriptions are the personal ones and which break your weapon limits; every personal inscription has a name which is two Japanese characters long, while Open is just one.
Once you buy a reward from the Tenka Medal shop, you see the following screen. For the inscriptions, you're shown instructions for attaching it to a weapon (it's the same as in Sengoku Basara 4).
It's not possible to merge personal inscriptions together, or set more than one on the same weapon. You can move them onto different weapons as normal using Weapon Fusion.
Here are all of the prizes in the game, sorted by the order they appear in the Tenka Medal shop. Tachibana Muneshige is the only character without at least one Tenka Medal costume.

This works similarly to the way it did in Sengoku Basara 4. You need a Japanese (or Asian) PSN account to purchase and download the DLC costumes, but once they're stored on your console you can access them with any user account on the system; it doesn't matter which PSN region your usual account is associated with. However, the weapon and consumable 'boost' DLC seems to be locked to the account you originally used to activate it on PSN so fans with a lot of DLC may prefer to switch to using a Japanese or Asian account and start over. Those who purchased music or costumes for Sengoku Basara 4 will have to download them again from PSN to use them in Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi at no cost. Boost DLC from Sengoku Basara 4 such as money or experience packs will not work in Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi, but the old costumes and music packs can be used in the new game so long as you have paid for them.
Six major collaborations
Six major tie-ins with other brands were promoted at launch, offering 21 DLC crossover costumes in total. The first tie-in was four costumes from Bandai-Namco's Tales Of Zestiria, the second was a special outfit for Ieyasu based on singer T.M.Revolution, the third was four costumes based on wrestlers from New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), the fourth was four costumes based on Biohazard (Resident Evil), the fifth was four costumes from Street Fighter IV and the last was four costumes from the Monster Hunter series.
All of the tie-in costumes were included as part of the game's special edition box and they're also available as paid DLC on PlayStation Network.
Additional DLC has been promised for the future. Here's the list of DLC content which has been announced so far:

Inscriptions
All of the Inscriptions from Sengoku Basara 4 will be available as well as a 'personal' inscription and an 'open' inscription for each character to allow them to break the weapon upgrade limits. I've collected the descriptions of the personal inscriptions below as these are unique for each character. Please see the Tenka Medals section for details about purchasing these rewards in-game.
It's easy to tell the new ones apart because the 'open' inscription always has a name which is one character long, whereas the personal inscriptions have two Japanese characters in their name. These special inscriptions cannot be overwritten or stacked, though you can move them to other weapons after buying them.
After attaching the 'open' inscription to the weapon you want to upgrade beyond its limits, you need to raise all of the stats on the weapon to their highest value then continue levelling it up with tamahagane steel.
Type | Name | Translation | Effect | Character |
Special (Blue Ring) | 開 | Open | Allows a weapon's Rarity and parameters to be increased further. Increasing the Rarity past its limit does not make it possible to add even more inscriptions to the weapon. "Open" cannot be overwritten with other inscriptions. | All (each character must purchase the inscription separately with Tenka Medals) |

Note 1: As pointed out by VegaManX4 in the comments, Matabee's Tunnel Reunion/Tunnels of Doubt stage is a little different to the others; even though it's not one of the full stages you can play in Free Battle mode it has its own unique bonus conditions and is treated as a full stage in certain circumstances. Here's a special table showing the bonuses you can earn:
Stage | Hidden Bonus Objective | Points |
Tunnel Reunion
| Defeat Gotou Matabee using Kanbee's first R2 special move Anagura Otoshi ('Underground Cellar Drop') | 1,000 |
Defeat more than 200 enemies | 1,000 | |
Tunnels of Doubt
| Defeat Gotou Matabee using Mitsunari's second R2 special move Zanshu ('Decapitation') | 1,000 |
Defeat more than 200 enemies | 1,000 |
Note 2: The Tunnel Reunion version is the one from Kanbee's drama route, while Tunnels of Doubt appears in Mitsunari's anime route. If you want to see the scene where the stage first appears, you need to play those routes from the beginning; skipping straight to the drama/anime route from the selection screen won't play the scene.
Mini FAQ
Q. How do I fight Kasuga or Sasuke on Battle of Kawanakajima: Intrusion?
A. Take all of the orange (Uesugi) or red (Takeda) bases before Yukimura finishes his dash to change the flow of the battle. Once you do this, the stage will end as soon as you kill the enemy commander whose bases you took and you'll fight their retainer along the way.
Q. I don't understand what the bar is for on the new Itsukushima Sanbee Occupation stage.
A. Please check this post for information about this stage.
Q. I need help with understanding the trials in the new Naotora Women's Dojo stage.
A. This post has the translations for all of Naotora's trials. The 25 'Man' kanji referred to in the objective description are the points she gives you during the trials; you need to obtain more than 25 (and keep them) to qualify for the bonus objective. Good luck!
Q. I don't understand what to do on Mogami Yoshiaki's Oushuu: Ushuu Annexation stage.
A. Please check this post for an explanation of Yoshiaki's new stage.
Q. What's going on in Sakon's new Sawayama Castle: Chouhan Defense stage?
A. I posted a translation of the gambling challenge here so check it out. It's easy to win all of the dice challenges by knocking Sakon out right before taking each base; it will give you enough time to hit the dice to change the result before he wakes up and declares the winner. The first bonus objective requires that you beat Hideaki and Tenkai up rather than racing them to 'collect' food.
Q. There's something else I don't understand about the new stages.
A. Zexx has created a series of tutorial videos which might help!
Q. I can't find one of the new stages.
A. Playing through all of the drama and anime routes should guarantee that you see them as they're all placed in specific routes. If you want to see your favourite stage more often in normal play, here's the trigger information from the game's official strategy guide:
Battle for the Nation's Peace
- Can lead to either Oumi: Sawayama Castle or Battle of Sekigahara: Western Shadow.
- Can be triggered by clearing Sawayama Castle: Chouhan Defense, Battle of Sekigahara: Eastern Sun or Itsukushima Sanbee Occupation.
- Can also appear if you don't clear the Omen (purple) version of Osaka: Toyotomi Hajou.
- Can lead to either Kai: Tsutsujigasaki Yakata, Takeda Otoko Dojo, Kai: Takeda Grudge Time or Revenge: The Sword of the God of War.
- Can be triggered by clearing Naotora Women's Dojo or Tootoumi: Iinoya Castle.
- Can lead to either Osaka: Toyotomi Hajou or Battle for the Nation's Peace.
- Can be triggered by clearing Hinomoto Tunnels: Josui Line or Osaka: Toyotomi Hajou.

I was about to ask if it's actually been confirmed that the new characters are all getting creation modes but I guess that's silly to ask- if they weren't, then they would be free-mode-only! :P
ReplyDeleteMm, it would be super-weird to bring Creation Mode over and even go as far as including all of the old stories, only to leave the 'Utage 5' as Free Mode characters. The fact that they showed them all in the video before, then used (what look like) Matsu's story scenes on the story pages and a new Kawanakajima stage to demonstrate things makes me feel quite confident that those five are being treated as proper characters this time around. I'll edit it if needed but I'm going to assume they're all getting basic stories to make them fully playable in Creation :)
Delete(This probably means that at least one character will have Kawanakajima Intrusion in their story mode too in order for it to be easily unlockable, unless it's just a random stage which comes up in the rotation. I wonder who might be tangling with the Takeda and Uesugi armies this time?)
I guess it would be really weird, huh?
DeleteSupposing that is Matsu's story, I'm oddly giddy that it seems like she's a cooking contest judge or something of the sort. I'm not sure why. I like serious stories of course but the more funny ones bring me a lot of joy. >w<
It'll be Masamune. The Dragon King gets upset when people interrupt his fights with Yukimura then has the gall to mess up Shingen and Kenshin's fights constantly... in SB2, the manga, the anime... xD lol, nah. Oh boy, I'm not sure. Ashikaga seems likely given there was that screen of Kenshin and Shingen bowing before him... One thing I noticed with the Kawanakajima stage is that there's a glacier encroaching in the background but there's nothing hot/volcanic to balance out the Takeda side. Wonder why...
It's been confirmed as Matsu's drama route (!!!) in today's magazines. I'll be posting a summary of the (minimal) new information later tonight :)
DeleteThat glacier is strange. I look forward to discovering more when the game is released - or since it's the first stage to be revealed, perhaps they'll use it in some of the demos later this month? That would be cool.
Aaahhhh Matsu having a drama route like that makes me EXTREMELY happy, so I'm very glad to hear that! It sounds fairly humorous too, which is great!
DeleteWith how much they're showing off that stage in particular and with how they keep mentioning Shingen and Kenshin I'd be a tad surprised if they don't end up showing off that stage if they demo any of the new stages!
Will personal items return to this game ? Like six-claws skill is always activated for Masamune...
ReplyDeleteI think there's a very good chance! They've shown Masamune with a 'personal inscription' called Six Claws, so that's a strong sign that each character is getting their personal items back (just in the form of inscriptions this time) :)
DeleteI really hope so. Nagamasa always has the red aura and Katsui always has cross-section at level 3 will be the best :)
DeleteI was wondering if you heard anything about the sumergai id if you have or have any new info contact me please at rnrcurry@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteGood Job , and thanks for your very detailed guide raindrops we are gonna need it when the game comes out
ReplyDeleteMasamunes Skill revesion is probably HELL DRAGON in mid air he can also Jet X if if you noticed .
And thanks for mentioning SPARDA-990 Made my day :)
Thanks, I'll keep filling in the gaps whenever I can! And it's only right to credit you for what you find :)

ReplyDeleteNouhime will become a playable character? I miss her so much !!! She's my favorite player of the series (> x <""). And please, share the link where i can buy the game with the bonus . I'm from Brazil . I don't know stores like that to buy Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi . I would be very grateful ! and sorry for the bad english
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment! Your English is very good.
DeleteUnfortunately Nouhime is not in the game this time, but I think she will be back in future because everyone misses her. Perhaps in Sengoku Basara 5 one day?
You have three choices with buying the game now. Someone else asked me something similar recently so I'll put the information here:
Asian version: Less expensive, might come with all five bonus weapons if you order in time. The links are above (search for 'Asian edition' on this page).
Japanese version: There's a 21-costume special edition available if you want all of the costumes, but otherwise it's better to buy the Asian version since the Japanese version will only include one of the bonus weapons if you haven't preordered already.
PSN download version: You can play it instantly on release day with no shipping costs. To buy this, all you need is a Japanese PSN card which covers the cost of the game. The details and links are here and you can buy Japanese PSN cards from Play-Asia if you decide to do this.
In short, I would recommend the PSN version if you don't mind which bonuses you get, otherwise the Asian version is the best deal at the moment. If you're lucky, you can get all of the bonus weapons that way as well as saving money.
Hi. :)
ReplyDeleteI've a question please, I've the inscription to have 3000 stats for some of my characters on my weapon, but still, even with that inscription, I can't pass 1500, why?
Also, how do we unlock the Heaven difficulty since the rewards are awesome? : o
You might have figured this out by now but you still need to upgrade the Rarity on the weapon by using steel on it. If it's not working at all, please post a screenshot or photograph if possible so I can check what's happening :)
DeleteHeaven should be unlocked by beating a story on the Basara difficulty. This game really seems much more generous with battle rewards!
Hmm, I'm confused, isn't those are the things so that my weapon go from one star to two stars, etc.? If so, that's what I've doing. :/
DeleteIf it's not that, could you please take a screen and show me exactly how to do it? :(
I remembered seeing a post about it and here it is: explanation.
DeleteWith the trophy description I messed up (below), this is what you need to do 100+ times to earn that trophy: Weapon Fusion
So you just need to combine weapons 100+ times. I'll fix the mistakes in a couple of hours to make things clearer.
It works, thank you so much! <3
DeleteAlso, can I do some publicity for your blog on some forums? :3 This blog has helped me a lot so I'd like for it to be known by many more people.
Sure, if you think my weird blog is worth sharing that's fine by me. Let's convince more people to fall in love with this series :D
DeleteAll of the (known) mistakes in the guide are now fixed. I'll add some more content later tonight when I find some time.
So could you explain how the "Combining skill" thingy works? Also how to do it? (thanks for your time!)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! Just to make sure I understand correctly, what do you mean by "combining skill"?
DeleteLike how do I make the characters weapons stronger and how to fusing weapons together.
DeleteAh I see; I've already replied to your comment at the bottom of this post now but that link should have the information you need about Weapon Fusion and Weapon Enhancement. So long as you don't destroy a weapon (Disassembly in the menu) you can experiment with the options to learn how it all works. It's easy to gather more inscriptions, materials and weapons, so don't be afraid to try things out :)
DeleteCan you help me for this trophy please?
ReplyDelete"合成職人Synthesis Artisan - Enhance more than 100 weapons - Bronze"
I've been doing this, 100 weapons from level one (one star) to level 2 (2 stars), but I doesn't have the trophy, what we've to do?
Whoops, my bad. I wrote that in a really ambiguous way, sorry!
DeleteWhat it actually requires is for you to perform Weapon Fusion more than 100 times, so you have to merge more than 100 weapons together.
(I'll fix the original wording when I get home tonight.)
Hi. :3
ReplyDeleteWould it be possible to tell us what are the new cutscenes and where to find them? Because even if I've finished all the stories and also the new one-on-one map, I still have a total of 158/164 cutscenes...
I certainly can, except I haven't unlocked them all yet myself (lol). I'll gradually add more data as I discover everything. I'm a little slow!
DeleteIt's ok, you're already doing a lot so thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteSo you'll update the guide telling us about the new cutscenes and how to get them later? :3
I'll do my best! Some people on the Koei Warriors forums already have their lists complete, it seems, so asking there might be quickest :D
DeleteIsn't it visible on character select screen? I beleive everyone have drama route in Sumeragi nowadays (so Ootani, Kuroda, Katakura, Sarutobi, Fuuma, Honda, Mogami, Kobayakawa, Shimazu and Tachibana got some new cutscenes). Also there are new anime routes for Ishida, Tokugawa, Date, Sanada, Mouri and Chousokabe. And of course don't forget newly added people. Sen no Rikyuu, Ashikaga, Kyougoku, Uesugi, Takeda, Maeda T., Matsu and Kasuga got a couple of routes (creation & drama) each. Pretty much it, unless there are also cutscenes for new stages' introduction as well.
DeleteI think it's easiest to miss the intro cutscenes for the new one-on-one stages, perhaps? Since it's possible to collect all of the stages for free mode without having played every one of those. Still, if you play through all of the routes you will almost certainly complete your video gallery along the way :D
DeleteWow, the one-on-one against Matabei doesn't want to appears outside Mitsunari anime route and Kanbei second route, it's annoying. :(
ReplyDeleteDo different weapon models of a character have their special ability/trait? Or do they just differ by appearance since we can forge each weapon into maximum atrribute in this game? (I know the last weapon changes the element, but what about the other weapons?)
ReplyDeleteIf they're not different then I'd just stick to the weapon model I like.
You can move everything to different weapons with one unusual exception: if you have any of the 'elemental-changing' weapons (magazine or preorder exclusives) you won't be able to move the element to another. For example, if you have Sakon's Highs/Lows fire weapon, even if you move all of the elemental inscriptions on it to a different weapon, the new weapon will be his normal wind-elemental rather than fire.
DeleteThis is the only exception; everything else can be moved around. A couple of the special inscriptions can't be overwritten once placed but they can still be transferred to new weapons via fusion.
I usually max out the first weapons since (in my opinion) they tend to look the coolest, and characters with special costumes sometimes have different weapon graphics too if you use their starting weapon skin :)
I want to ask about Sakon .How to know if he is in his kick stance or blade stance? .And how to switch between kick and blade? Thank you (:
ReplyDeleteThe easiest way to tell is just by looking at first, though you'll need to get used to the way his stances appear. When Sakon levels up a little he also gains the ability to switch at any time with his R1 move, so once you get that (it's one of his first abilties) you can try it out and get familiar with how he works. I recommend reading OneSanitarium's gameplay notes if you want to take your Sakon knowledge further: Link.
DeleteAbout Ieyasu .How to charge his Sun Thurst while he is running ? I tried holding Tri while he was running but he did Dir + Tri .
ReplyDeleteI would strongly recommend directing gameplay questions to OneSanitarium via the Cuhrayzee Games General wiki link or most English language forums for the game as although I adore the series, my technical knowledge of the gameplay for each character is much lower than some of the other fans out there. I don't want to give bad advice!
DeleteStand still and press triangle, then move
DeleteIs the light weapon worth redeeming for Ashikaga? I don't have an Asia PSN and I don't plan on getting any DLC so is the process worth it get that weapon.
ReplyDeleteI think it is, but then I bought all of the DLC weapons because I'm a completist! If you already have a save on another region's account and don't find Yoshiteru's DLC weapon very interesting, it's not exactly essential. Still, it might be worth registering it before it expires in January in case you change your mind later on, right?
DeleteIt is me or Shingen and Tadakatsu share their S-String, or it's just similar?
ReplyDeleteI haven't really noticed this before but they are quite similar; I don't think it's meant to be identical though :)
DeleteDialogue Mania Trophy seems to be GLITCHED.
ReplyDeleteI've equipped all the dialogues available; there's 5 of them if I'm correct but the trophy just refused to pop out. I tried all means of combinations and playing the same stage with each different dialogue book but to no avail. Who has gotten this unlocked pls tell me how!
There are two of them that you need to buy with medals.
DeleteArrrgh....thks.
ReplyDeleteI notice Tetsuo9999 in his Kenshin video he does a cross-slash kinda move but it doesn't seem to show up at all when I played it.

DeleteSee the 3:20 mark
I had a interesting question, do you know if you can use the Asian dlc for weapons on the Japanese version of the game since it's in the same region? For some reason my 4 weapons dlc didn't work and the 1 did and I got to buy another version to get them now, if you have any idea your answer will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
DeleteIt's his L1+Triangle skill if I'm not mistaken (on inputs) but in order to actually perform it you got to gain that frozen momentum first. Perform other attacks until the screen goes blue putting enemies in icy pause mode and hit the required combination immediately.
DeleteOh, and by the way it also perfectly works as a counterattack anytime you want.
DeleteThanks VegaManX4 ^^
DeleteRockman DS: I believe you will have to use an Asian region account (most people use HK) to redeem and use the Asian weapon DLC. It's strange that the two codes worked differently for you. It might be worth sending a help request to Capcom (you can use English if you're contacting them about an Asian account) to see whether they can explain how it happened and help.
I've replied with no good answer so far it seems they misunderstand what I'm saying, I did all the trouble for the preorder and can't even use the weapons it says I have it sucks 😢
DeleteThat's weird. If you log in to your Asian account on the PSN website, assuming it works like the JP one you should be able to see a history of all of the codes you have redeemed before. The weapon codes for this game have a number next to them for how many times they can be used (it starts at 1 and when you activate them by starting up the game, it goes down to 0 and the weapon becomes available in the game). It might be good to check there to see if the missing weapons were ever available on your account?
DeleteSome tiny correction - Matabee's stage is not considered 1v1. It's more like Ashikaga's audience stage. With it's own bonus conditions (defeat 200 enemies and finish Matabee quick enough I suppose. Not sure about the last one though). And it actually qualifies for 'beat a stage with no damage' trophy.
ReplyDeleteWeird it's not in the stage select then. Hopefully they'll consider patching it in...
DeleteYes, it's annoying. I will have to add some notes about this; thanks for pointing this omission out!
DeleteHello. I've used your guide for SB4 back when I was playing, and is going to use it for SB4S too, it's really helpful, thank you for your work. Now, I don't like having to always refer to side materials while playing, and with SB4 I've found a way to modify some ingame text for "dumped" to HDD version (which only works if you have CFW). Back in SB4 I used it to have inscriptions with translated descriptions (like http://puchima.su/i/1_1393958911.jpg ). So, I thought you might be interested in taking part in making such playability-increasing translation for Sumeragi. This does not involve story mode, too much text and work, but roulette/inscriptions/stage objectives would be really helpful. If you don't accept such ways or just don't want to waste time with this, I'll understand and just adapt old SB4 patch for new game for myself :)
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty awesome! I'm going to have to decline though, I'm afraid; while it's a fantastic use of technology I'm uncomfortable doing anything which people could use for piracy, even if it wasn't ever intended that way to begin with. It's the same reason I don't write scripts for manga translations even though I'd really, really like to; I've had too many bad experiences with things getting out of hand and stick to summaries nowadays :(
Delete(I also have the problem that I'm quite active in the community and show up to events, and I don't want to upset the creators when it's pretty easy to find out who I am. By all means though, keep creating that kind of thing for personal use until the day Capcom decides to support English-speaking fans again!)
Okay, I understand, and expected it to be like this :) Still had to try :D Japanese is a bit too tricky for me and much less useful in real life than English (which is not my primary language too).
DeleteThanks for a reply and have a good luck :)
You may have already answered this but how do I get beyond the transfer data screen? I can't seem to answer the right questions.
ReplyDeleteI can see you found the answer but just in case anyone else is reading and wants to know this post may be helpful!
DeleteI can also translate any unfamiliar screens which pop up if a picture can be taken :)
How can I save ? I checked today the game and everything has been reseted, it seems that it doesn't auto save
ReplyDeleteIt does autosave, actually. I'm not even sure if there's a way to turn off autosave, actually, or else I'd suggest checking options.
DeleteActually, it seems that I made a mistake, I logged on another user so that's why, my bad ... TT
Deletehow did I forget about the users, lol
Easy mistake! :P Glad you figured it out!
DeleteThanks again Mewshuji :D
DeleteHello, I am a big fan of Sengoku Basara and I'm very grateful that you translate the games.
ReplyDeleteBut I have a question: How can I complete a Extreme Sengoku Creation story of a character?
Mmmm... by playing through the game with this character/characters maybe? Just make sure you didn't select drama/anime route at character select screen or make a turn at that direction (by chosing drama/anime route on battle/stage select screen) during your game progression. Hopefully this answers your question.
DeleteThanks VegaManX4 :)
DeleteThe regular story mode has 'Extreme' added to its title in Sumeragi so people know that it has new content, but it's the same as in Sengoku Basara 4; just play through without selecting an Anime/Drama route when you're offered the choice and you'll complete the standard 'Creation' story for that character instead.
Hello, can you tell me whether the games have a cross-save function. Is it possible to transfer the save file of the PS3 version of Sumeragi to the PS4 version and vice versa (not transferring PS3 Basara 4 to PS4 Sumeragi, but instead transferring between the two versions of Sumeragi).
ReplyDeleteI'm getting the PS3 version of the game with the intention of maybe upgrade to the PS4 some time in the future, and I want to know if I can transfer the progress to the PS4.
And thank you for your excellent work translating the game as well as answering questions.
Unfortunately there's no cross-save function. You can only transfer your SB4 save data to any or both versions of Sumeragi and this is pretty much it. Personally I bough both versions and I kinda regret I prefered to start with PS4 version. Since it's obviously superior version of the game I'd rather platinum the PS3 one, shelve it and keep on playing the PS4 version. I did the opposite so now I'm kinda hesitating to even look back at the inferior PS3 version, lol. Still I'll get to it eventually.
DeleteMy point is you won't regret upgrading even with your progress being left behind. Sumeragi is much faster and funnier in terms of leveling-up and collecting/unlocking stuff than vanilla 4. Don't let the absence of cross-save stop you from enjoying it ASAP.
Are there DLC of weapons "ٍSengoku BASARA 2 "
ReplyDeletein Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi ?!
I'm afraid not; there's not very much weapon DLC at all!
DeleteFirst let me say thank you for putting the time and effort to write this amazing guide. I've been watching the gameplay of Sengoku Basara series for years but I didn't play any of them because of the language barrier. But now thanks to ur translation guide, finally I was able to buy the latest version and play it. Thank u sooooo much again
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your kind comments! I really hope you're enjoying the game :)

ReplyDeleteAny inscription of these inscriptions bearing in arms to become the element of personal weapons??!
Your guides are helping tremendously right now :] Spouse imported this as a christmas gift. You wouldnt happen to know a good site or place to start learning how to read japanese would you? Again thanks a ton for taking the time and effort to translate this and make it possible for so many to play.
ReplyDeleteinscription who belongs to tenkai,Do you have an effect or not?! As he was in Sengoku BASARA 3 Utage

hey bro i just realy wanted to thank you for making this i know im not the only excited sengoku basara player Your realy helping uss out here and i very strongly apreciate it do you think you could show uss how to change weapons costumes and so on in a translation Picture? maybe how to use thoose hammers and Level upp Your weapon as well its ben so loong since last time so ive kind of forgotten besides that itd be Nice to have just in case also are you able to get costumes by winning the story/creation mode? or do you get costumes only by buying them? if so in what menu do i find the shop? again thanks for Your help would it be allright if i got Your email? who knows i may need some help later if you dont want me to contact you by email thats understandable :)
ReplyDeleteHello! Thanks for your amazing blog :D i have a question please... i apologize if it's a silly question, but i've heard Sumeragi is a stand-alone game, aka it has all of the contents from main games (including the whole story mode). Is that true? Thanks for your time!
ReplyDeleteThat's right, you can purchase Sumeragi on its own and still get a complete game; it has all of the stories from Sengoku Basara 4 plus a bunch of new ones and additional content :)
DeleteIs this game 2 person playable and if so, what the steps to get to it? Having trouble translating....
ReplyDeleteLocal cooperative play with two people is possible in both the story and free play modes. You need to press Start (PS3) or the touchpad (PS4) on the character selection screen to have your friend join in. There's no online multiplayer or versus mode (sadly).
DeleteGreetings from Argentina! First and foremost, I thank you very much for devoting your time to such a wonderful page. I have recently imported the game and your detailed translation has proved invaluable for my gameplay.
ReplyDeleteMy question is pretty dumb, but I really appreciate the aesthetic details in the weapons (in every game overall), so, if you look at this video from Sengoku Basara 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vopwSBkd6FY , you can see Kojuro wielding a sword with a dark / blue fiery effect which I find really cool: is this same effect achievable in Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi? If so, how? Is that because of an element or something?
Again, thank you very much for your magnificent work!
Yes, that would be one of Kojuro's elemental weapons in 3U. Attaching an elemental inscription on his weapon should achieve much the same graphical effect in 4S, although I don't quite remember what it looks like (haven't played in a while).
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for the answer. I have yet to see a video or image of Kojuro wielding a sword with an effect such as that. Everything I've seen in 4S videos is an underwhelming lightning effect but certainly not as cool as that from 3U.
DeleteIs each character just limited to one type of elemental inscription?
Thank you very much!
I think in general 4/S elemental graphic effects on weapons are more subdued when compared to the previous entries.
DeleteThe elemental inscriptions are tied to their innate element. A select few can have a different element, but those are DLC, and all codes are probably expired by now. There are 3 inscriptions tied to element effects (allows for element effect, improves element damage, effect fusion), plus their improved versions. One of them won't do anything without with other, though. That's about it.
hello, i know this is old i don't think you will answer , but anyways i would like to ask you about the Inscription trophy, how do i collect them all i'm using kotaro fuuma ,i only have 40 weapons slots, how do i collect all the inscriptions and the porsnal inscription of other characters to kutaro ?
ReplyDeleteI'm no expert but if you hit the R2 button it'll show you what inscriptions you have or don't have. You need to merge the inscriptions to make them "Extreme" or stronger. I used to just cram all the inscriptions into a blank weapon to save space but that...isn't the best when you are trying to get them all. XD;
DeleteI'm not sure how you get certain ones so I just keep playing the same character over and over or try a different difficulty. I don't know if that works but I think it does? I use mostly Yukimura (trying to get all the fugitives) and I seem to get different ones depending on how well I do each level.
I don't think you can give the personal inscriptions to another. But I could be wrong or only if you unlock everything else there is way? I'm not sure, but now you got me thinking if there is any meaning to capping out a character. That might unlock something but even if it doesn't, I'm still going to cap Yukimura...someday.
Though Raindrops would probably be able to give you better detail, I hope I helped even a little. XD
You don't have to collect them all on a single character for it to count. When you get one, the game records it. And since it's recorded, you can discard the weapon if you wish. You can check which ones you still need in the gallery.
DeleteFor the PIs, just buy them. They'll appear in the correct character's inventory

DeleteHello, there. First of, thank you very much for the effort you have put into this guide. It has been incredibly helpful! I am just three trophies away from the platinum!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have one question. I have already clear all routes and paths on story mode, but in Free Battle mode, I am still missing one stage (it says i have 41/42 or 42/43, I can't recall), so my question is: how do I unlock the stage that is missing? I can't really think of anything else I can do to unlock it.
Your help will be much appreciated.
hello. I try to collect the full size images of the SB4 sumeragi characters with their giga basara title background. but the images of big characters that I found are missing some part. so do you know any wedpage which has the full size of them
ReplyDeleteCan I canceled the camera stopped when he does enemies Basara Technique?!
ReplyDeleteI have only one question, and i hope someone can answer. Is there a versus mode where you can battle againts a friend????
ReplyDeleteSadly, there isn't any kind of versus mode in this game :(
DeleteIt would really have helped give it more long term play value!
BSR4 special theme for ps4 I wanna know the name of music in this theme
ReplyDeleteI know this is kinda late and all but I was wondering, has anyone eose noticed that Kenshin isn't affected by Naotora's PI? I tried a bunch of times between remains of ounin stage (the one Kenshin appears in) and kawanakajima intrusion with and without Naotora's PI; now everyone else takes damage like they should (Hime and Kasuga get half and Mori, Ashikaga and the others get double) but Kenshin doesn't take double or half damage. Can anyone else confirm this?
ReplyDeleteToo lazy to confirm personally but the general idea is that male characters are negatively affected by Naotora's PI while females are blessed with less damage income from her attacks. So my guess is that's completely intentional on developers part since Kenshin's gender in SB is ambiguous. Isn't it like supercool, huh? Like math and stuff ^_^
DeleteThat was what I thought! Honestly I just want someone else to see this so I know I'm not the only one seeing it and just projecting my ideas of Kenshin's gender onto them. It's really interesting with all the little things they put in the game, like how Kasuga's pole dance skill affects Naotora's female troops as well as the other grunts (I have quite a bit of time on my hands).
Deleteare duel(vs) mode in sb4 sumeragi avaible?
ReplyDeleteSadly not! I loved the silly vs mode in HEROES and Utage and hope it will return if/when the series gets a new game :(

ReplyDeletePhew... so the second time I'll buy a japanese game (the first one was "Dragon Warrior Heroes II" before it was released in the US and EU.
ReplyDeleteWish me luck in not noobing around, cause I'm from germany (means I have to double translate ^^").
In terms of "Musou"-titles, the Basara games are my favourite.
I just love how over-the-top everything is. :D
So, thanks for making these translations!
You make dreams come true, cause I was really upset that this game wasn't released elsewhere. ^^"
Thank you for your kind words! I hope you have fun with the series, and your English is great so I'm sure the burden of double-translating won't slow you down at all :)
